My background

I graduated with a degree in History from the University of Aberdeen in June 2024, and I am currently studying for a MLitt in Scottish Heritage from the University of Aberdeen. This has given me a good amount of experience in academic research which allowed this blog to become possible. For those who are looking for more academic information to assist them in learning about their ancestry, this service will be ideal for you.

My research will primarily be through JSTOR since I have access to countless of interesting and well accredited articles from this organisation. I can, however, branch out into other types of sources, such as books and even archives depending on your location and needs.

Introductory Research

3 hours of academic research, plus time to write the report
Small report of sources found

Extended Research

5-10 hours of research (exact amount can be agreed prior to commencement of service)- plus time to write the report
Detailed report of sources found
1-2 weeks

Details of this service

Organising Contract

Once we have been in touch and discussed what kind of research you are looking for, I will send a contract to sign to ensure we are both satisfied with the terms.

Research

Once the contract has been signed, I will be able to start the research. This will be at least 1 week, depending on the volume of work required.

Academic Research Report

Once I have found enough information, I will provide a report based on the research. I will provide a bibliography of the sources I have used for your benefit should you wish to explore more.
